Im not really into Final Fantasy no more. Zelda is more fun because Final Fantasy is more on the serious side of things. The storyline for Zelda is good too, unlike FF's which is always confusing and hard to understand.

I happen to not like any FF games, so I'm biased... but I voted anyway.

I happen to like most FF games, so I'm biased.  But Windwaker beats them all (and therefore OOT by default.)

I don't feel these 2 games can be compared like that, I mean they are greatly different and good games; Zelda is an adventure game and Final Fantasy is Role-Playing game, they don't have the "core" of comparision. You can tell which is the best out of Resident Evil games and Silent Hill but can't tell which between DragonBall and Soldier of Fortune.

^i agree, althought i voted i think it is a matter of which you like better rather than which is better/which genre of game you like.

Zelda is considred to be one of the first Real-time-type RPGs.
In most Zelda games you deal with HP (in the form of hearts) and MP (in the form of a magic meter).

Some might get any about the levels and so on, but Link does get swords and sheilds of increasing strength, and tools that help him reach different places. HP is often increased through the use of extra hearts. There are no Experience Points, but Link does get stronger.

Those are essential aspects of an RPG therefore Zelda is an RPG. I think they're comperable.

Yeah you can say that Zelda is considered RPG but not Strickly, It uses a lot of brains to figure out the dungeons but you don't gain Exp when you beat enemies, which consist on the main aspect of an RPG.

Anyways they are categorized "Everyone"

See the "E" at the right bottom corner.

I already explained the XP thing with Link getting stronger sheilds and swords. Zelda games are RPGs. Play Zelda 2 and you'll believe me.

And it being rated 'E' means nothing.

no doubt it is an rpg. and E has nothing to do with it.

But even so they are both RPG, ff is a diff sort of rpg. Turn based, Zelda is not.

Although they have simalarities, they are pretty fine.

I don't think it would be a good comparison comparing them by their genre.

Zelda games totally look like RPGs to you ,not to me.

Now back to the game if I were to choose between zelda or final fantasy, I would go with zelda games cause there is more than RPG inside those game !! ;)

If you find the story of any Final Fantasy game to be confusing, and hard to follow, you must not read a lot, or play many RPGs.

lol yeah sorry to say but even if you don't really play many rpg's, the storyline is really that hard to follow.

Final Fantasy is a good Rpg to start playing before any others. Just don't play the snes classics such as FF4/FF5/FF6. Sometimes it gets hard to find where to go. Like on FF4 when you drill underground. And also in that big tower thing near the end of the game.
