Nintendo of America's George Harrison has stated there should be a healthy number of launch titles for the Revolution...

Interviewed by Game Informer Magazine Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communication at Nintendo America George Harrison said there would be approximately twenty titles for the console's launch, a third of which would come from Nintendo - certainly a higher proportion than most Nintendo consoles so far.

However, lessons have apparently been learnt from the GameCube this generation. "We recognized... that you really make your reputation in the first year. You've got to deliver software, not just at launch, but you've got to deliver software in the first six to nine months after launch. It has to be solid software," Harrison stated. "In GameCube, we didn't have that, we had kind of a drought for six months after it launched. By that time your reputation starts to solidify and it's hard to reverse that after awhile."

Harrison also commented on what would be in the Revolution box on launch day. One free-hand controller and nunchucku are confirmed, though a second controller is apparently also being considered. Comparing the system's price point to that of the Xbox 360's, he commented that "our goal is to come in at a slightly more mass market price."

Surely Zelda is already a solid title for fanboys to buy the console. So they shouldnt worry about 0.001% population of the world buying their console.

They almost look alike. Having said that, there is only 7 launch titles:
1) SSMB
2) Metroid Prime 3
3) Pilotwings
4) Undisclosed "New (Miyamoto) Nintendo IP"
5) Twilight Princess (if that counts)
6) Animal Crossing
7) Mario 128

Those are the main launch titles.

The game "Red Steel", by UbiSoft, has been confirmed for launch.

Twighlight Princess is a GC game. I don't think it counts.

I thought Twilight Princess was pushed back and moved to the Revolution.  Or is it still going to be on the Cube after all?

Flashbang, those may be the 'main' titles, but I doubt that they are the 'only' titles.  Those seven you listed seem like the 'third of which would come from Nintendo' that the article speaks of.  Red Steel and more will be coming from third parties.

Its been said that a version of Twlight Princess will be released for the Revolution, which will take advantage of the Revmote and any other "currently unknown" fuctions of the Rev.

Twighlight Princess is still a GC game, but if you use it on the revolution it'll use the rev controller for sword fights and so on.

So will the Revolution play GC games just like the PS2 played PS/PSX games.

Nintendo says it will yes.
There is supposedly a panel that can be flipped on the top of the machine that reveals slots for GC controllers and mem cards.
