As mentioned in my tutorial on playing DS roms on a DS, the passme2 and the superpass2 are confirmed as working on the Japanese DS Lite.
Flashme is also confirmed as working, although one loses the ability to adjust the brightness.
I know this miught be 'old news' but no one has mentioned it.
