Oh, I saw that yesterday, I've seen what it looks like, and its absolutly hideous, it looks like a bl**dy hybrid of a Gamegear and a Normad (Portable Megadrive/Genesis made by Sega). I would have thought they would have learnt from the mistakes of Sega. I also thought that Microsoft would be releasing an "X-Brick", not that.

Well it looks like it's more like a portable PC than a handheld gaming system.
The fact that it plays HAlo is probably cause it uses Windows XP, they wanted to show it playing a game and it was either that or Dungeon Seige.

I never thought Microsoft would enter the handheld market, but I don't think it will give the PSP or DS much competition.

I feel its going to be another gamegear, at first, it appears to be better than the competition (Gamegear with full color VS Gameboy in Black and white), but when looked at properly, isn't very good. (The Gamegear was very big and bulky, and had a very short battery life, yet the Gameboy wasn't as Bulky, and had a long battery life.).

Yeah I'd say they will release one.
It will have class graphics but it wont be much good.

I personally think that Microsoft should stick to big counsel gaming, at least until they become more established as the definate, dominate leader. Give it 5-10 years, and they'll be sure to join the market though.

It appears as though it would compete like a Gamegear, but we dont know for certain yet. All i can say is Mircosoft must be up to something sneaky because this handheld has only just been announced 2 days ago.

I hope not.

We really don't need another Windoze machine on the market.

Bah! Leave the handheld business to Nintendo! I highly doubt this project would be successful but then again.. I might be surprised since my expectations on a handheld-microsoft product is pretty low...it can't get any lower.

You just wait, it'll be a flop, something that f***ing ugly and bulky has to fail, and besides, its mostly a Tablet computer, not a portable games system.

Edit: I've just read on the respected games site, www.kotaku.com, that the Origami it won't be Halo compatable, and won't be a portable X-Box, however, its has been speculated by GameSpot that it will be compatable with older, less graphiclly demanding games, like Civilization III.
