No developer will never be able to simulate real life, but its nice to think that they can. The animation on real tree's, grass, animals, the clouds and every other thing is simply impossible to animate perfectly. You would have to have every detail perfect and the shadows would have to be perfect too. This is just my opinion but it seems like an impossible task for any games developer to emulate real life.
