It would seem possible. It all depends on how much flash memory the DS has, and how much of the game is put in it. Some other games on the GC use the GBA flash memory, like Animal Crossing. You can upload NES minigames that have been unlocked, and play them on the GBA until you turn it off.
The thing is, the DS would have to have a hell lot of flash memory in order to handle and enitire game, right? And you wouldn't be able to save, but I guess if all you wanted to do was play multiplayer it would be fine.
