PS2 is better. PSP is slow (Really) and the graphics ain't great and movement is'nt precise without the analog stick.

My neck hurts everytime I play the PSP.PS2 can do most of the things (Play DVD's and Music CD's)but I think the PSP is another move by Sony to compensate for the Nintendo DS and Xbox 360 till PS3 is launched :P.PS3 is going to kill all competition... :D

About the price, when PS2 release here in my country it was priced at 1300 bucks. Then after 6 months prices dropped to 900 and now it is around 700.
I got a PS2 on Christmas by my father's friend.(lucky me! ;D) PSP's price here is 999. So in fact , over here PS2 was more expensive than the PSP.

I don't know a person here who has one ! (gbx and my country) lol.I know one thing, PSP made me have very bad neck problems... I was playing nfs most wanted.(A miracle coz I HATE sports, puzzles and racing games.)

PS2 has better games than PSP.(Prince Of Persia Revaltions looks great though...)

I prefer the PS2 over the PSP, I enjoy playing consoles over handhelds.

I always feel like I'm going to break my psp by pickign it up. not very well constructed.
PS2s also tend to break, but in the laser area.

Basically Sony makes passible systems out of medeocre parts, but if I'd hav to choose I'd say PS2 cause you don't have to buy movies in a special format to watch them (even though watching movies on a PSP is the silliest feature ever).

Neither.
A)Owning a PS2 out here in Spain feels to clichéd foir my liking.
B)PSP has been a flop here in Spain.

I just don't like Sony overall, I feel that the PS2 is heavly overrated, same with the PSP, and the PS3 probably won't do too good, if you put it into prespective, since the console will be heavly overpriced, games will cost quite a lot more than the current generation games, and the graphics aren't going to be that amazing, since the only footage that has been shown so far is simply pre-rendered videos that only show the capabilitys of the FMVs of that console.

PS2, I like the psp but the load times are bad and the psp has mostly racing games.

I don't care if it is overpriced as long as I get it for Christmas.lol
PS3 gonna kill competition because of the titles releasing for it and the graphics of PS3 is much better than Xbox 360. 8)

IMO, you can't compare consoles and handhelds together...

You can't really compare the two, since one is a home console and the other is a portable console.

It does'nt matter if it is a home console or a portable console. On terms which is better? PS2.No doubt about that.

Am I the only ******* who voted PSP?
Its just better goddammit ><!!!
Its hardware is almost as good as the hardware on the PS2. But you can take it anywhere. Its battery life is better than most people give it credit for. It plays movies, music, games but anywhere.ANd it looks uber secksi. And if you use the loaders you download psp games off the internet and emulate psp games on the psp. In no way if the PS2 better than the PSP. The PSP is the PS2 but smaller, portable and better looking.

Don't swear in my forum.

Who cares if it plays movies? I never understood this compulsion to play movies on a portable device that you take on busses and to school and so on. Do you really like watching the 1965 Batman movie on a tiny screen with headphones on a bus full of smelly people who are looking over your shoulder?

And the MP3 function is useless unless you have a decent memory stick pro, which costs $100 per gigabyte.

I can buy a 50 cent DVD, fill it up with MP3s and play that on my PS2, and watch a REAL dvd, that doesn't have a super limited library, AND the game library is much more extensive.

If Konami releases a Silent Hill on PSP I'll be impressed, or if someone gets that PSX emulator for PSP running well. But until then, I'd rather play RE4, Killer 7, Silent Hill 3, and MGS3 on my PS2 instead of a racing game on the PSP.

Plus like I said, the PSP feels like it's going to fall apart in my hands. It creaks when I press buttons, and the screen is so big and fragile I feel like I'm going to scratch it by looking at it. Not to mention the fact that taking it on the bus leaves me open to people stealing that $300 paperweight from me.

If you buy the Giga Pack you save 50 bucks on the 1 gig memory stick. So thats extremely worth it.

Some sites let you download movies and put them on your PSP to watch. So your not limited if you have the resources.

A screen protector is 5 dollars. Go out and buy one cheapskate.

PS2 had absolutely nothing in its launch year. Give the PSP time to create a good library. Plus the isn't as fragile as people say it is. Haven't you seen that video where the people break the PSP. It takes a few hits to break it. Deliberate hits. Not accidental.

And do you really like sitting in the bus bored of your skull sitting with you friends in an akward silence?
