Some have a built in cheat function (x-rom, supercard) but it's not flawless.

I've have managed to get my gameshark for my GBA working on my flash carts but it screws up the loader menu quite a bit and I got it second hand so i think the original owner neglected to mention that it rarely works on actual games.

But as far as I know, it is possible, I've done it before, but my gameshark is finniky.

The ones I got working really well were the XG-flash carts I have. EZF won't boot at all.

Well gamesharks have their own menu that you navagate wehre you select games and their specific cheats. If you were to use some flash carts sometimes it screws things up like not letting you see which rom you're selecting.

Ok. So now it seems that your flash cart, whateverthat may be, is not compatible with your gameshark.
I know that my gameshark only works 40% of the time on my flash carts. So unless you want to keep turning it off, taking it out, repositioning the cart putting it back in, turning it on again, and so on, you may be SOL.

It could be that they are incompatible.

hey i used to have that problem! its either that the code is a fake (trust me some are!) or that the code you have needs another code to make it work. you need to turn on one code so that code lets you use cheat codes...... if you know what i mean......if that doesn't work then i guess its the flash cart(originals are always better than copys)
