But a lot of people still love Magus from Chrono Trigger. He joins the team is you do the right thing. So does Bowser in Mario RPG.

That sorceress from FF8, the one you have to fight at the end. Her name starts with a X or a Z, or something. She was a terrible villain because she just didn't exist until the end. You can't be scary if you only show up for the final battle.
