Why have add-ons when you already have every thing cheaper!

Videos/UMDs: Being able to have a bigger screen, and you have speakers. And with the UMDs, people can watch on a bigger, HDTV. No use for that.

Music: We aleady have cheaper/smaller music players that give us more options than a PSP. (Ex: Ipod)

Internet: WAY more options to use on a PC than a PSP.

DS: New way to play games, good battery life, better games.

Why would anyone want to carry a portable gaming system and a ipod? Its good to have both in one. If you are in a place with a wireless internet connection then the psp can come in handy. A bigger screen is required because no one wants to put their face on the screen to see soemthing. Speakers will help make the music much much louder. People do like to party you know. And like I said before. It depends what kind of games you like. But I still doubt that the DS has better games.

Actually, the DS is now 130$, and the PSP is 250$, and has always been 250$.

I live in Canada and that's how much I paid for my products. I honestly didn't feel like converting it for the world.

PSP Pros: Plays movies (never felt comfortable watching a movie alone at home, now I can do it on a bus and feel silly), plays music (unless you're willing to shell out a good sum for a large mem stick, this is useless), great graphics, some ok franshises (metal gear, GTA).
PSP Cons: The PSP always feels like it'll fall apart at any moment.
Granted the psp has better graphics, but at the cost of a terrible battery and stunted games.

DS Pros: Great games, great batterylife, interesting concepts for games.
DS Cons: The DS is hard to hold, especially for a left handed person, and some of the games can be very short, demo-like. The concept can come across as a novelty sometimes.

Both though are treated as the GBA was by many companies meaning that games are released for GC, Xbox and PS2 versions and not much effort is put into the PSP DS versions(splinter cell, harry potter, burnout (both systems), GTA, etc)

Oh, one thing, what a PSP can do, (With movies and music) a portable dvd player can do better, even though it isn't as portable, its cheaper, and you don't have to fork out 40 euros each time you want to watch a movie.

You have got a good point there, each console has its good sides and its bad sides, like the PS2, it has got a builtin DVD player, and has lots of titles, but they often malfunction, and the gamecube, nice graphics, lots of mulitplayer games, but no online and no Dvd player.

GC does have online, it just doesn't have any games that support online (save PSO).

I heard that too, but so far all I see is the lanning two gcs together. Maybe they'll retroactively add online to many of their games. Who knows?

The psp is a cheap version of a lap top. So is you want internet, music and dvd capability then get a laptop. While that laptop is alot more expensive, You dont have to buy add-ons, everything is bigger and has better quality and its still portable. Or if you want to be more cost efficent get a portable dvd player that can play music and cds in mp3 format, that has a jacks to conect a console. Whats ur chances of going online when your in the car? not very likely. or just buy a screen that allows you to play console in the car. Is you already have a ps2 then your getting all the funtions of the psp except better. Though these suggestions are for the car, not walking down the street. For walking down the street game play i suggest a DS. XD
