I gave in today >_>. I put a $5 layby on a Silver DS. I know that i should have waited for the emulators to finaly emulate the DS properly, but i was soo wanting to play the DS with the stylus and draw some crazy stuff. So yeah, it was hard, i almost walked out of the store several times because i couldnt decide if the time was finaly right to layby it. Anyway, i'll be regretting this if a proper DS emulator comes out while im paying it off.

I got mine for last xmas and there was nothing out for it.
But NOW, there is great stuff. I'd certainly buy one if I didn't have one.

I think that DS ia a rip off. I'm happy with my psp. The whole stylus thing was a cheap way for nintendo to make money.

Well, I love my DS, I've had it since before it was realesed in europe (I was one of the lucky few to get one VIA the VIP star cataloge) And not only are there good games already (super mario 64 DS, mario kart ds, wario ware touched, and others I can't remember) and loads of good ones coming soon (mario and luigi 2 partners in time, new super mario bros, animal crossing wild world) and of course, the DS has more 3rd party support than the PSP, and has loads and loads of online games coming out soon...

Well, I think the graphics on the DS are perfect, because to have graphics like a PS2 just isn't right (PSP) and I belive that protable console should never have raphics comparable with the main consoles of that generation.

I'm sorry but graphics don't make games on the go fun, gameplay does. If I want to be looking at nice graphics I rather be sitting on my ass than walking and seeing it.

You think a $150 DS is a ripoff compared to a $300 PSP?
Interesting.

Yes I do. Because DS can only play games but psp can play games (with better graphics), play music, hold roms, hold videos, can go onto the internet, etc...It really does depend what kind of games you like. Psp has more action/adventure games and the DS has puzzle games.

The Ds doesn't really have that many puzzle games, it has a large range of games, like nintendogs, mario kart ds, super mario 64 ds, warioware touched, mario and luigi 2, new super mario bros.

And another thing, the DS is a portable gaming console, not a portable media center.

Stop being fanboy. The DS can/has:

-Dual Screens
-Touch Screen
-Microphone
-Wireless
-Wireless Game Sharing
-Battery & Power Management
-Dual Slots
-Picto Chat
-Nintendo WcFi

There's even more things the DS can do then I listed.

Even though I prefer Sony over Nintendo, i respect nintendo. The gamecube is great and thats why I have one. But the DS is one of the worst handheld systems since the N-Gage. Nintendo just didnt deliver.

You gotta have some big balls to say that. But you're still wrong, If it's that bad..why is the DS and GBA outselling the PSP?

Yeah, even though GTA: Liberty city stories has been released, the DS is still winning in the charts by 20.000 consoles, and its winning everywhere else in the world, I think the PSP will be discontinued within 2 or 3 years, its just lacking third party support.

Even though the PSP may be a pretty cheap media center, Nintendo is offering a new way to play games, handheld game. Nintendo thinks next-gen.

Oh, did I mention that next year, the DS is getting 2 final fantasy titles, yes, thats right, 2! One of them is a full 3D remake of Final fantasy 3, and the other is sequel of the popular gamecube title "Cystal Chyonicles".

Who cares if they were in March. They are still true now. Check any gaming magazine. And here are the facts about these two portable gaming systems (if ds is considered a gaming system at all), http://www.icedragon.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=86 . And I prefer the psp because of what you get with it and what it is capable of. DS doesnt scream next-gen. It screams "nintendo wants money". If Sony can pack all of that into the psp, why didnt nintendo do it with the DS?
[/quote]

1. http://www.gamespot.com/features/6140988/index.html  Read the editors part
in the article. do they still tink the same?

2. DS does scream next-gen because of the new ways that we'll be able to play games. Not because it can go on internet, and play videos and music. That's why we got a PC. And Nintendo likes to give what customers pay for, and that's gaming machince. Besides, Nintendo likes to give a fair price, with all those add-ons they would lot's of money.
