I know they don't make these anymore and I found a site for about half the first DKC sdtk but the server is horrible and possibly dying.

Does anybody have it or know where to get it?

Use a P2P program like limewire or edonkey to download them.

heres a site with alot of sound tracks on it ... scroll down for donkey kong.....
see iffin it has what your looking for
http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks.php

i'm not sure about this site, but it said it was soundtracks for donkey kong country..
so u can check it out too...
http://www.apexcorp.com/~rvhorn/assimilate/dkc/index.shtml

and heres another one that looks very promising...
http://www.ocremix.org/game/47/

heres more that claims to have the soundtracks
http://www.zophar.net/zsnes/spc/
http://www.dkvine.com/features/tenmelodies.html
http://www.classicgaming.com/dkdb/konginconcert.htm
http://www.mirsoft.info/gmb/musician_info.php?id_ele=Mjk3

you do know that it is easy to get programs that will change your music formats from one type to another..
so if its wav or something else, and you need mp3 format,, then just grab a program that'll do it for you

[/quote]That first site is the one I use, and if I download one file I have to wait a while. Now I'm thinking it's not so much a problem on the server as it is a setting.

Big thanks on the other links!

edit - Unfortunately either they didn't work or you had to log in to get the files. But thanks for the links.

not sure why you said they don't work..
I just went thru the entire list i gave you and only one required registration,, one the links were dead...
but all the rest worked...
however some mp3 sites you gotta right click and save target as
or it will try to open itself within your browser...

Edit:
as lamegamefixer just posted below me ...alot are in .spc format......
&
Since i posted these links, i've been downloading lots of soundtracks too. plus players.. and playing them......i've had no troubles with the links i posted,,, so would seem strange to me if any more sites would work for you until you figure out what your doing wrong

I got mine at gsa...  They came in .spc format, but they included a plugin for winamp so that I could play them.  You can convert the files into mp3s by burning them to a cdrw with winamp, then ripping them in mp3 format.

It worked for me...  http://www.gsarchives.net/index2.php
