Ok, heres a little news from www.revo-europe.com which will make Mario Kart fans happy, this is the full confirmed list for players and unlockable characters for Mario kart DS.

Toadette? LOL, is this a new character?

Update: It turns out that Koopa Troopa, Toadette, and Petey Piranha are NOT unlockable characters,  but every other character will stay in the list.

Toadette isn't new. She's showed up in a few other games. I think Mario Tennis for GC is one of them.

She was in Mario Baseball.
