I hear you. I don't want them to remake it either. Its only a few years old. Well, eight or nine, but still.
Anyways, do you think that anyone is going to listen to a petition? This is business, not politics. Square can do whatever they want with their game whether we want it or not, and if they don't want to remake, then they won't. Simple as that.

okok ppl i tell u what i tink i will never bote to remake FF7 it was 1 of the greatest game ever but whi remake it now when first there the movie is so fuki** awesome that i never get tired of see it second teher is Serverus or something like that when u play as Vincent and it look like a promising game and final but no least there a game coming for psp were u play as Zack so why make a remake when they can extend the History ^^ for thoes who dont know who is Zack he is the 1 who look like Cloud but with black hair and get killed by shinras soldiers, how cloud survive is a mystery but he get his sword that for sure ^^
If you don't know how Cloud survived before the game's start then you don't know much about the game.
Why would anyone want to know more history than the game has in it? The game gives you plenty of backstory, more than enough. The game was originally written to be self-inclusive. When it ended, it was over. End of story. Dirge of Cerberus, the game currently being made about Vincent three years following Meteor, is still a sequel and also does not deserve to be made. I know Vincent was the least developed character in the game, and he was very cool.
But in order for it to be a real Final Fantasy game there would have to be another situation threatening the life of the planet, or at least the lives of everyone on the planet. And how many times does a single planet experience that kind of thing and actually survive? This isn't DBZ.

Have you played the pc version of it that came out after? The only thing they improved was the graphics but the music wasn't very good unless you had an excellent sound card.

I was merely expressing an opinion on the FF petition. I would have thought it quite relevant as it explains why I don't wnat to sign said petition that this discussion is about. But I foolishly felt I didn't have to explain that.
You don't need take it personally if someone doesn't like your favourite game. I don't look down on you for liking it.

Yeah, I've played the PC version some. But maybe it's my graphics card, because the graphics don't seem to have improved. In fact, they seem worse. But then again, I think that's me.
Yes, thaddius, it logically follows that you would not sign the petition if you don't like the games. But this topic has the nature of drawing people who do like the games rather than ones who don't. It's because it can be so easily assumed that you are against the petition that your exact opinion about the games themselves is unneccessary.
And I'm not taking it personally. If you want I'll make a topic that says "Why FF sucks" and we can discuss the finer points of why we should build a time machine just to shoot the creator before he even thought up the idea. But the place for it isn't here. I would hope that you wouldn't throw your weight as moderator around so lightly.
