Over the past four weeks, I have been running a poll to dertermine what GBX thought was the best Final Fantasy game.  We started with over twenty games from all consoles and are now down to one.  You have decided that the best Final Fantasy game to have ever been created was...

Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation One.  Congratulations,  FF VII fanboys and girls.  Your favorite game of all time has won.

No i didn't, i thought 7 for psx was better than for ps1.

Meh.. In my opinion, FF7 is overrated. *awaits flames* But I guess I don't have a right to talk about it because I haven't finished the game yet.

Psx is the japanese ps1 and i liked ff 8 out of ff7 and ff8.

PSX is the media center version of the PS2, not the "japanese ps1". 

As stated on Lik-Sang, it "is a high-end electronics device designed to run PS2 and PlayStation games, connect to broadband and record both DVDs and television. The unit will also be capable of receiving analogue television reception thanks to an included TV tuner. "

So please, don't try to make yourself seem cool, just say the japanese version of FF7 which you probably haven't even played, and if you did, wouldn't understand either.

I didn't like Final fantacy VII at all, the later ones were much better than it.

I agree, FF7 is sooo horribly overrated.  It's still decent though.

nope i think 1 and2 should win like i said without those non of the others would have been created.

I thought that PSX just stood for, basically, the playstation without a number.  It was the first boxy one, and the smaller, more sleek one was the PS1.  I have both, so I just figured...

I don't understand what you guys have against 7.  Around here, it is just understood that 7 is the best, and that 8 is the mistake.  And, around here, I have defended 8 readily, seeing as how I like it so much.  But when you play a game, do you see something and think, 'Wow, is different than my favorite game, its terrible.'  I'm not saying that you all should love 7, or any game.  I'm saying that you should play a game and appreciate it for what it is, not in comparison to others.  I've seen someone post their opinion about 7 being overrated hesitantly, almost afraid that they would be flamed for going against such a large fan group, but now I'm willing to bet that the game disliked the most vocally is FF7.  And yet it still won.  I'm glad that you guys are willing to voice what you think, but you are calling everyone else idiots when you yourselves are in the minority.

The japanese ps1=ps1.  The psx was just a nickname given to it which has no meaning now because the actual psx was released.  Please, do some research before talking. ::)

okokok whowho here Im a BIG FAN of FF7 and i tink is 1 of the greatest game BUT....... I woulda vote for Xenogear ps1 thoug my favorite game is FF7 Xenogears is u know more complex and all but still i tink FF7 never was overated ^^  i tink some of u just dont understand the game at all but it got 1 of the best History ever and it keep on the classic FF situacion when the world will end in some u get to save it but some FF the world really end ^^ that make it more fantastic

Dude, please use proper grammer and punctuation. Also, the topic says nest FINAL FANTASY game.  Xenogears is NOT a Final Fantasy game.  And the voting ended several weeks ago.

well i still tink Xenogears woulda win ^^and well im not that good at tiping ^^

I really only like the final fantasy series because it is the very few rpg's which has a really good storyline(also really good sidequests) which is why I really liked ff7.
