That's what I really like about MUGEN. It's so easy to use and everything can change easily.

The menu is somewhat the same way. Unlike the battle system, I haven't done any changes to the menu so far, so it's the default. But it will be changed soon. I mean that for sure.

Where did u get those broly
sprites?

I have seen them in games but
never found them on the internet.

Hey if u can make a tutorial on
makin a mugen game cuz I
was thinking about makin
one too.

I already riped some decent stages
from DB Advance Adventure and GT transformation.
But unlike ur game, my characters are going
to be equal in color cuz mixin game graphics
doesn't look so good to me.

That is why I only use Butoden sprites and edit
them. I need u to teach me how to input
transformations.

You can't use just sprite sheets, you have to import them into a character maker and make them.

Broly sprites the same place where I got the other sprites.


Plus there isn't much of a tutorial needed. The files come with a doc folder that is VERY informative. Plus, it's extremely easy. I did ALL that in about a week.

what do u mean, all u have to do is when u finish makin
the sprite sheets

U save it in a certain format and get a program
to import the sheets and set them up.

Well u are pretty good, but can u please
tell me where u got those Brolly sprites
from. They look cool!

Anyhow I alllowed a few people to play the game to see how it played. One complain: Transformations are extremely difficult. To combat this, and because it's a little better, I've made the transformations seperate characters, a la Budokai Tenkiachi. This way, you won't have to spend time doing shitty combos, plus it' sorted out.

I think u should keep the ingame transformations,
u would have been doing somethin different from
what other dbz mugen creators had.

Otherwise u would jus be makin the same dbz game
others had already made technecally, well unless
u have a real story line that doesn't avolve killing
all the playable characters!

It should follow the storyline of dbz and have cutscenes
at the beginning and end of battles. That would be cool.
With winmugen im pretty shure that is possible.

I'm not a fan of retelling the same overdone story a billion times...plus I'm a newbie. I'm not that experienced enough to do a story mode. And I can't do seperate transformations anyhow, ssj3 Goku is an ass when it comes to gameplay. So yeah, I'll leave it in game trans, but don't blame me if you can't go SSJ3 or anything

Oh yeah, and on a weirder note, Majin Vegeta can strangely go SSJ4. o.O

Also the font and logo is what I'll be using for the game menu

Thanks for the info.

Other than looking for characters, I'm also finding stages. Simple stuff, no lie. My music is ready now, I'll be using them for the stages.

This has to be one of the most fasted game developments I have ever seen. btw this is great! My favorite character (Vegeta) can go to SSJ4! Yay, make sure not to change that Dark Shadow.

Yeah, it will stay the same, but remember, it will be difficult, since the character readme's say to perform the transformation and the're keyboards are highly different....-_-

New characters everyone. The following are now added to the roster
-Super 17
-SSJ4 Goku (The other Goku character can only go to SSJ3)
-Super Buu

Now, my work is nearly completed. The game is somewhere in the 80's. Only the following needs to be completed

-Title Screen Work
-Music
-Stages.
-GET THE LAST CHARACTERS!

I'll work on the Title Screen first. If I finish it tonight, expect a demo copy by tomorrow at the very latest

The game is not messed up, Dark Shadow is just doing things is different orders. And I find it amazing for this being his first game to reach more than 60% is such little time. And to heck with that, he has reached in the 80's, I could just imagine his future projects!
