-warning- For the kids reading click back to the index.

I see kids on the news, in the shops, malls, arcades etc, and they look to be aged around 8-12
for some. I dont see where they pick up such naughty words. I know it's likely that they pick
it up off of there parent's and when those kid's would be sleeping over at another mates house,
they'll be hearing there parent's curse at the tv, or even an easy game.  Hmmm maybe they've been
playing too much GTA. The rating system is working, it's just not working on the other side. US.

Umm... >_>

Kids say things like that because they prollyknew those words from adult things. Remember that kids like to watch/do/listen to what theyre not suppose to.

The probably pick it up on the street or from other kids at school. Movies, music, television. Maybe their parents. I dunno. Kids these days are acting older than they are.

I see young children using swear words as if it were part of every day common words. -_- They pick it up from the streets and schools and think it sounds cool.

I learned al the words but one (n*****) from my father because he has a tendency to swear really loud when he gets mad (which he used to do often).  Though I know them, I find that I don't use them often or in front of children younger than me.  What really makes me mad is that at my school, everyone uses them and don't care.  If they were meant to be everyday words, then they wouldn't be known as swear words.  A lot of people seem to think that using them makes you "cool,"  but it doesn't, it just makes you look stupid and proves that you don't have a wide vocabulary, and probably don't even know what vocabulary means!  Most kids learn curses form their parents and other family members, peers, and video games that their parents buy them.  The problem with the video game rating system in the US is not the system itself- it works fine!  It's in the parents.  They buy games for their children without knowing what's in it just because their kids want it and they think that if they don't satisfy their children's every want and need, then thay're bad parents.  Which is totaly wrong because to do that is to spoil your child, but to satify their every need and some wants is to be a good parent.

i know my first day in secondry school i was referred to this art thing and the art teacher said i was "talented" so i done a program involving a lot of drawing, the first day of the program he said to me "i won't take any sh!t from you and if you start getting smart with me i'll break your f*****g jaw"
i know it was secondry school and i already knew them but in primary schools no teachers swear at all, altough him swearing at me did make me respect him more.
pretty much, there part of the english language and it seems like there there to stay wheter we lik them or not

Meh, I thought swearing teachers were spazes.

I particularily don't care...caring would turn me into one of them retards who ran around with a sign saying something about children's brains and what not....we can't do anything to stop it unless the police ran around shooting people and commanding 'em to stop.

I find it ridiculous. I'm older than that and I've never said a curse word (Well, except for the time I didn't know it was a curse, but that doesn't count). I think it starts with the parents, since most parents will probably curse then when their kids say it they say not to say it. The kids curse when their parents aren't around, and then other kids get it from them. It sickens me.

Older brother's I would say have to be the worst. My brother played me eminem songs to me when i was like 6 and made me watch south park when i was about 7 so i tended to pick up a lot of swearing and other adult related text from him. My step dad swears a sh*t load too and always had. my friends are always finding out tonnes of new sexual terms being made every two seconds so i pick up a lot from them too. lol i guess we get a lot of swearing from people we're closest too.
