I remember my first rom clearly, it was Dragon Ball z buu's fury. I bought the game on E-bay for $20 and my friend comes and shows me roms and i was pissed because i didnt know they exited before. :p
lol! i remeber my friend coming over to my house. he goes do you have any emulators? and im like what the hell are emulators? then he shows me nerologic.com great website but for only snes roms i remeber my first rom was super mario allstars!
My first was pokemon blue, I remember how excited I was when I got to play cause it was the latest craze back then. The bad thing was it wouldn't save on the computer I was using but I still thought it was fun.
i think my first was street fighter 2 for snes. my frind had zsnes on his computer and he showed it to me and i was like WTF??? it blew my mind, then i was hooked on the whole free illigal gaming thing =P
i found an article about "playing GB on PC", then looked for "games" (learned those are roms), time passed an someone told me "man, you need an emulator"... then learned about emulators... my first rom was pokemon blue on the old smygb and tgb_dual
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Beta for the Genesis, I think.
That was my first phase of my interest in emulation.
After that I laid low for a while until GBA emulation started up and then Sonic Advance brought me back in (and after that, I was doing all sorts of stuff including N64 and Playstation emulation).
I've since left the world of emulation but I've still got my ROMs and such.
I saw my cousing playing pokemon yellow one day I ask him how did he do that and he told me the website and how to donwload roms and the first thing I played was pokemon yellow.
