heh, I dont suggest that.
you can enable fullscreen by going to Options/Video/FullScreen.  this will run it more efficiently than just stretching the screen in a window.

Also, this will enable you to have filters selected.  Most or All filters dont work if you just hit the Maximize button.

turn off some of your filters, and maybe lower the quality settings, and check Options/Frame skip/1.  also turn on automatic.
is your comp up to par?
also check and see if you have directX 9 installed on your comp.

I gathered.
These guys assumed you didn't know how to change the size.

I'd suggest closing other applications while playing VBA. That's my horrible, horrible suggestion.

Nice suggestion Thaddius!

Make sure that you do not have any Frames Skips enabled because that can cuz pausing screens when you play and that the throttle is set to Auto or None
