[move]Just in case you didn't know how to use a game controller with roms....[/move]

??? If your wondering what Im talking about, than read. ???

Some know, but have problems with setting up a gamepad with their emulator. Some dont even know that you can. I dont know all the ones that will work, but the one that I like the most, and I use every time I play ROMs is the Game Elements Gemini with Recoiling Cord.

(You can get it new from your local Wal-Mart for 13-15 $$$
It plugs right into your usb and fires up.

How do you set up a Game Pad on your Emulator? Alot of emulators are different, like ZSNES, you go to game controls under options, and its confusing, so Im not even going to try explaining that one. If you open VisualBoy Advanced you go to Options, than Joypad, than configure and go to  1, (thats the default) When you click on each of the text to ghange the key, just tap the button on the Game Pad and it will change, if it doesnt change hit it a few times till it does. Hope that helped you!.

That controller looks cool, though I have a much cooler looking one.lol Though the only advantage to using it is if you are playing fighting game where you need a better grasp on your controlls.

Thats a nice controller.
Its not that complicated to setup a controller with ZSNES. Install the drivers for the controller (if any are needed) then open ZSNES, go to Configure>Input 1 (or any other number for like multiplayer), then select device Keyboard/Joystick then
select Set Keys and press the button on the controller to assign it to the key, then have fun.

My friend has and uses that exact controller, I remember because I play with the retracting cord.  Though he sticks to FF11, not emulators.  His roomate uses his Xbox controller to play roms on his computer.  And setting up the pad is about as easy as setting up the keyboard.

It works just like a playstation controller, it comes with a cd, but you dont need it, you just plug it in and it works. Its really nice, I use it with all of my roms.
