is it possible to turn a save file format into a different kind to allow it to be used with a different emulator?because i recently downloaded VBAlink but it wont run my pokemon emerald save file,but it will run the ROM

Well where did your save file come from? (What emulator were you using before)

You should be able to use the same save file from another emulator as long as it's .sav format. Make sure it's name is exactly the same as the ROM's name. Also make sure your ROM is patched and all that. You'll need to setup the same settings for VBALink that you did for the other emulator you were using.

the settings are the same,i use visual boy advanced 1.8.0 BETA,
problem:
when i chose pokemon emerald and clicked "load file" in the drop down file list it didnt show my two save files
not really great at changing .sav files

You can't load your save files with 'load file'. You need to choose 'load save state'. Plus don't use VBA 1.8.0 Beta. The Beta version is crap, use the official 1.7.2 version.

thank you cazylife,it works now,but mine didnt say load save state,i clicked load and chose the vba 1.8.0 BETA,il download 1.7.2 instead
