well, but being able to save at almost every time of the day and easier cheating is one of the good things about roms, besides just do as i do, get a cheap pc control and pretend youre playing GBA altough youre playing it on ur computer.
getting roms is easy aswell, just saw that commersial for new gba or ds game on tv? running over to the computer downloading it and some minutes later finding out it was just a crappy game after all, money saved!

Simplest reason: free gameage plus easy access to a huge library of games.
More complex reason: some of the emulation I do (specifically Neo Geo) is opening a huge door to games I've never played before. A great way to test the waters of systems I've not tried before.
Negative: my computer varies on what it can play (I'm having trouble with the GBA)
Final analysis: its a fun way to kill time and get some quickie enjoyment.

I liked roms because when theres nothing else i can do on the comp ill just start playing a rom until i have something better to do, and its free and if u buy it and play it on the console u dont get as much features as the PC,ex. VBA, u can save normaly or save by the VBA save so u can continue in anyplace u want just clik "ctrl S"..,and u can change the controls and take screen shots,plus it has a built in gameshark makes it even better, so i enjoy using it on the comp better and its a good pass time
