I would, because I'm shy in real life. It does depend on the persons character. If he/she is a person that talks much, I would be less afraid to talk back. It might be fear with animals. If they are just born and don't know the world or something.

I dunno. humans and animals differ in many significant ways. Animals don't know hate and don't kill for some of the stupid reasons humans do- its just a killing instinct they have (perhaps most humans as well but thats a different topic I guess) So are they shy..naw, its probably just being either wary or scared.

I think we humans are animals because we would slaughter and kill anything just to survive,i'm not saying it's a bad thing but that's taking another life.
Like vegetarians,they are killing living plants.
Carnavores,we just eat anything.

I think an animal could be shy. Looking at it from a scientific point, shyness is caused by a neural disorder (I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being shy, some of the woulds greatest geniuses have been shy, and I'm shy) and could theoretically occur in any species with a complex enough brain. However, looking from an emotional perspective, animals have personalities, and shyness is often considered a personality. My dog is a Rottweiler. Her breed is infamous for being very tough, mean dogs. However, she is the friendliest dog I have ever seen. Personalities = Shyness.

On topic: I think animals have personalities just as humans do. Some people consider humans to be animals aswell. That might be right in alot of ways.
@ Nitemare: The vegetariens don't kill plants lol, it's not like meat eaters don't eat those plants aswell.

Yes that could be true, animals can have personalities.
Maybe not all animals, but your normal pets........
I mean there are some dogs that will rush at you for no reason and bite you while others will come near you so you can pet them.
So why can't they also be shy..............

I dunno, maybe because it's in their nature to be agressive or bite. Some animals have it more than others. I think pets can be shy yes. Our first cat used to hide under the closet when we had visitors, but the cat we have now comes up to everyone meowing.
