Beaten as in the final Bowser, or beaten as in all stars? I don't really think either are possible.

no codes were used.  But he did exploit a glitch and that is cheating

Which glitch? I can't play it, and even if I could I wouldn't pay enough attention.

OK two main glitches in the video were shown, the one that he passes the door wich requires 50 stars and the one endless stairs, or not?

50Stars door:
This one is extremely hard to do. You know the star door located in floor 2
that you need 50 stars before you can get through it. Well, There is a way
to get through it without getting 50 stars prior to going into it. It is
extremely hard to pull off, and extremely difficult to explain. I've done it
before many times, and I swear that it's true.

To do it, you must first be familiar with the backwards long jump. Anwyay,
start at the bottom of the staircase that leads to the star door. Position
the camera so that it's facing the stairs. Do a fowards long jump, and turn
it into a backwards long jump so that you are going up the stairs. As soon
as you start jumping on the stairs, start tapping A as fast as you possibly
can. With much luck, you will start to "Rapid Jump" up the stairs, and you
will go straight through the star door. Don't expect this rapid jump thing
to happen the first time. It will take loads of attempts before you do this
for the first time.

Endless Stairs:
Yes, believe it or not, but it is actually possible to get to the top of the
endless stairs. I guess they really aren't endless, huh? Anyway, this glitch
is not very easy to pull off. To do this, you must be able to perform a
backwards long jump. Get ontop of some of the stairs. Face the bottom of the
stairs, then do a fowards long jump toward the bottom of the stairs. As soon
as you do the long jump, move the control stick from fowards to backwards to
make Mario lose momentum to the front and gain it for backwards long jumps.
Don't let go of Z. When you hit the ground, immediately hit A again and you
will do another long jump. Continue this process and you will start doing
backwards long jumps up the stairs. Now, this is the tricky part. Start
tapping A as fast as you possibly can. If you stop doing backwards long jumps,
then start over. Anyway, if you get lucky, you will begin to "Rapid Long Jump"
or something like that. If you begin to do this, you will quickly go up the
stairs and go directly to the top. It's really hard to explain. Just keep
trying, and you'll get it. I swear that this is true. I've done it many times
before.

Well its beaten fair and square, cause if nintendo didn't know about some glitches, thats not cheating then, its just a method of beating the game!

That's actually amazing.
It's already way to hard
to beat a video game in
an hour.

*yawns* anyone got a digital camera? There are a few shortcuts and things that he didn't take, such as jumping to the final pole in Bowser in the Sky from the moving platforms. The only thing that's remotely hard to do in that vid is to backwards long jump up both staircases... I'm surprised he got it perfectly both times, which is pretty impressive :)

His Bowser battles could be a bit better, but then again, nobody'll ever do him perfectly anyway.

He cheated, he would've needed only around 30 stars. You have to have around 80 to beat the game fairly.

Yes it does. He's glitching. Technically, Gameshark is another way of glitching a game by temporarily changing the game's programming.

Well for those, who don't know how:

Forward Long Jump:
Run and keep Z pushed and press A

Backward Long Jump:
Run and press A+Z, then release A but not Z. When Mario lands
press A, but keep Z held the entire time. When he lands again,
press A and pull the analog-stick back. Mario should move slightly
backwards. When he lands again, press A and pull the analog-stick
back. He will jump straight back. Repeat this as many times as you
like. This requires practice.

Well there ya go!!!
