There has been a number of bomb blasts in London this morning (7/7/05) around 8:30 am.
300 injured
150 seriously injured

Tony Blair left the summit in scotland to head back to England to see about it.

O damn it!
It is a terrorist attack of course.
I hope those people can recover.
For more info tune into CNN or Fox news.

My mom said I have to be carefull if I travel by train. Because she thinks these sort of thing might happen in Amsterdam too.

This world is indeed fucked up, it's always been that way I think and it'll always be like this. Apparantly it's just human nature to destroy people's lives and homes.

I heard about it at school. Most of the bombs were set off in the underground. And I think almost every train and bus into London has been stopped.

33 confirmed deaths so far but they still dont know how many died on the bus.

It is a shame to see what the world is coming to........
The scary part is that finding these terrorists are so hard.
They could be anywhere and you won't be able to even know.

As of now the latest news is that Tony Blair has returned to the summit in scotland.
And it still seems that England will be hosting the olympic games in 2012.

That's the latest update I have right now...........

In England on the news apparently only 2 people died! Anyways there's also the fact it could be that we(britain) won the votes for hosting the olympics of 2012 here or it could be the G8 summit going on right now so it might be eitehr of those causing it!

Truly a tragic event. I just hope this doesn't bring out anymore anti-Islamic relations. It's bad enough as it is and my uncle was literally an inch away from a missed gunshot shortly after 9/11 (Yes I happen to be Muslim). What pisses me off the most is that these terrorists make it seem like they are fullfilling Islam's orders but they really aren't. May this f***ed up world live in peace and harmony one day.

BTW Grim Reaper, Fox News isn't exactly the most reliable source of news. It's just terrible how biased and completely unreliable their news are. You might aswell be reading the tabloids. And a lot of news for events like this have some small facts wrong since its so hectic..

Yeah it's really horrible what's happened. But apparantly it's been in planning for a few years now, luckily the Metropolitan Police in London were also planning in case something like this happened. Which is thankful as a lot of lives will be saved because of it.  :)

The bastards probably blew themselves up. Just like September 11, those extremists have little regard for their own lives and will do anything for what they believe in. They may not have been suicide bombers however, as a timed bomb could have been just as easy to manipulate. A remote detonated bomb is probably ruled out as cell transmissions are blocked in the underground.

Most likely the police will look at the surveillance footage from throughout the day to try and pinpoint who the culprits were, if it was suicide bombing they could possibly discover who the bombers were too.

These terroists are really a disgrace to the Islamic religion, and any religion for that matter. As asd said, these terroists think they are doing the right thing but the Koran from the Islamic faith says exactly the opposite. Muslims shouldn't be killing other people for no reason, no one should be.  :(

As of now the death count is 38. I don't know where you got that information from, but it's wrong. There'll most likely be more deaths as some patients are in a critical state where they're battling for their lives. Pray to god that as many as possible of them get through this.  :'(

The toll is now at least 50. Luckily the scale of this attack is much smaller than 911.

It's not as bad as 9/11. There were people from all over the world during the incident in 9/11. As a result, the reaction gotten from 9/11 was far bigger than that for this current bomb blasts incident, where far fewer foreigners were affected.

Right now, they have no evidence as yet that suicide bombers caused this, but the possibility is not ruled out yet, although it's remote.

And it's more likely because of the G-8 summit that the IOC's decision, since the incident happened after the IOC voted for London. The timing is much nearer to the opening of the G-8 summit than the decision of the IOC.

It's kinda sad how terrorists can still find a way to do this even though security has improved dramatically worldwide after the 911 event. Although this is not as bad as the 911 event, I still feel bad for the people who were affected by this incident. I saw some images of the victims on TV and they weren't all that pretty. This is going to deal some damage to the economy too.

Well the London Police Forces recently went down a security level, to the 'Second Level of Alert' which is still quite high, but not as high as it was in the past 5 years. Where the security level has been at it's highest. 1500 of the police force in  London were also sent to the G8 summit. But that was a rather small ammount considering the London Police force has over 30000 personel.

Stocks are going down worldwide, and some repair work needs to be done before the London Train system is fully operational, and it really sucks for me, as some Australian people were critically injured. At least they're not dead however.

A witness, who was on the bus, just before it exploded, reported seeing a suspicious man who was very edgy, and holding a bag, containing something. Obviously this is probably the culprit, and very possibly, he blew himself up in the process. Hopefully the police can uncover the rest of this mystery.  :P

Nah if he intended to blow himself up, he would have strapped the bombs to himself. He would have to be very stupid to kill himself if the bomb is already in a bag he can just put down and leave.

Well, I heard on the news yesterday that they suspect it to be a person with a backpack entering the train. If he really strapped the bombs to himself, I think it would have raised more suspicion and it would be easier to discover.

News Update:

Over 100 suspected terrorists caught in one of Italy's airports.
I wonder if any of them could have had to do something with the bomb blasts in London.................
