Hey Guys,
Do You Remember Back A Few Years Ago,
When We Thought In The FUTURE We Would
  Have VR Consoles?

Dont You Think It's Time We Had One?

There're already Virtual Reality Arcades around, but they're expensive... like 5 bucks for 1 play that lasts like a few minutes.  I don't think current technology will extend to the consoles yet though, it's not cost-efficient yet. Maybe in the future :/

No one knows yet, it isn't practical, first you'd need game developers willing to make games for it  (imagine how hard it would be to program games in real 3D), then you'd also need consumer who are going to be willing to buy it, and willing to send it in for repair when it inevitably becomes broken (remember this is still fairly new technology as far as gaming goes)

Idiot, if you want to get the games you'll have to buy them from the shops, of course in the future if they do actually release 'Virtual Reality' games, there's a good chance they'll have iso's for you to download, but tha'ts highly unlikely until they even realease such a thing.

I believe we might see some virtual reality tools that you can plug into your console, but it won't be full virtual reality, it would just be D3D type technology that works with your TV screen or alternatively your monitor  ;)

Well, remember R2D2 showing a projection of Princess Leia on Star Wars that could talk? That projection technology already exists. As I've said before, it's all about the cost, not whether it is possible or not.

Haha, Princess Leia, HOT!  ;D ;D

But yeah, it's definetly possible, but would you need an entire room to do it? Or would it all fit in the one set of glasses? In the future i think there will be a boom in virtual reality technology, sort of the pinnicle of where video gaming should be, but this won't be for many hundreds of years, providing that we actually still exist by then.

I don't think we'll be interested in it in 2091, guessing we'll be alive.

We already mastered holograms. I don't know how many times I have to repeat this: it's not whether it's possible or already exists, it's whether it's cost -effective, as in, can people afford to buy it.
