Nobody wants to live forever,for you will see every loved one die off.
Death is nothing to fear because it may be quick or painful,neither way you go to the same place you were going to go.Nothing lives on forever you must know,for life is borrowed from God himself.
When the time comes to return our lives to him,we die.

I do not invite death, but i do not fear death. I do not mourn the passing of others as it is an inevitability that we will all have to face one day. I only hope that when my death comes it is quick and relativly painless.
What comes after death? I do not know. Nor do i care since it, like death, is inevitable and that knowledge would not effect me in any way since i cannot change it.
Life is just something that must be lived. We will find out the answers when the time comes for us to know.
Edit: I don't believe in god. Nor do i believe that He would wait for us on the other side even if he existed. Just to clear that up =)

Unless you know you're gonna get shot or something earlier than you're supposed to then it's not short.People live up to like 60-90 year of age.The lucky ones go up to like 100years of age.

I don't fear death. I fear what comes after. The reason I fear it is because I don't understand it. My brain can't quite perceive "eternity", as I'm just human. A simple answer for it is that time doesn't end. Time goes on and on and on and doesn't end and/or stop. my brain isn't a simple mind. It's one that requires deep thought into certain matters. For instance, I've thought about God. A simple answer is that "He is". A deeper answer is long winded and I dare not go into it. Anyhow, I hope I've answered your question.
I do fear death, because I know that it will come one day. Sometimes I think about it too much. I get sad when I think about that others around me will die and that they might die before me and I would not know how to get over them. My life is not at a happy time now, so I wouldn't mind not having it, but that sad time will go away. I don't want to live forever because the world will just get worse and worse.

Death would just happen once..and that would take less than an hour -_- IMO, going to the dentists every damn week is scarier.
on a side note, i'd rather die young (40-50) than be one of those 60+ y olds who wish they'll be dead by tommorrow.

I know what you mean. I would rather die healthy and young, then cripled (sp?) and old. When I can't hear or see as good as I can now.

I miself don't fear death, I don't understand ppl taht fear death or even y they fear death. Now I'm not suicidle or have a death wish, or have a horrible life or anything like taht, but I actually want to die (after I've lived however long God sees fit for me) and yes as u said flarestar, I fear tha pain associated with death
