Jupiter's core is liquid, mostly iron.  And a teaspoon of the matter from a black hole wouldn't weight a thousand times on earth, it would weigh infinitely more.  The matter in a black hole is compressed into a single point, which has no thickness in any direction.  But black holes are detectable because they emmit x-rays at the poles, and the intense gravity warps the light passing past it.  I've seen a picture of a galaxy behind a star cluster, where the cluster's gravity acts like a giant lens and creates four images of the galaxy.  And living on Venus would indeed be possible, with the right technology.  Its all about filtering some of the bad elements out of the air and replacing them with good ones, to cool things down a bit.  But that won't change the fact that neither Mars nor Venus are within the Sun's inhabitable zone.

All of the conditions that it took for life to form on Earth...  Life elsewhere is unlikely, but possible.  More than likely they are so far away that it wouldn't matter.

So if i get a really big box and put an ant in it, there has to be other life in there simply because it's big?
Yes, there will be microscopic lifeforms in the box. A completely sterile environment cannot exist, as a setrile enviroment would literally not exist.
A black hole reduces all mater to a single point, literally crushing it =/ I doubt it'll transport you anywhere.

Anywayz, as i was going to say =)

All you people who keep saying theire has to be life out there because space is big need to go smash their head into a wall. The universe doesn't have to conform to a set of rules. It doesn't have to have life in it just because it's big. Since when did anything in this universe make any sense?

You all talk about the billions of planets out there, but how many of them are even inhabitable by living organisms? and even on the ones that are, what if there was no life to begin with or if it all died out like many species on earth?

It is entirely possible that earth is the only planet in existance that has the exactly correct specifications to support the evolution of an entire species over a period of millions of years.

There is speculation that if a ship with low enough mass were to fly through a big enough black hole such as the supermassive ones at the center of galaxies, it would act as a wormhole, however communication would be nearly impossible since fiberoptics or wireless data can't work without light.

Whoa this makes me feel dumb.....There has to be life on other planets because there is germs and small organisms on every thing....All though some believe you have to have oxygen for there to be life....that is completely wrong....Some smaller organisms dont use oxygen...

Oops, forgot my theory. Yes, aliens exist. The 5 books I read during the school year have confirmed my suspicions. And if you want to see an alien now, go look at the local foreign exchange student.  ;)

Black Holes cannot transport anything.  The speculated Worm Hole can, which is supposed to be a connection between two black holes.  If you read the book Contact, they talk in detail about what an alien race would do to move around using worm holes.

It depends on how you want to view aliens.  By its definition an alien is someone who comes from another place, whether it be another city, country, or planet.  I do believe that it is understood that we are talking about Extraterrestrials, not the people who illegally cross the border from Mexico to the U.S.

all the ?'s on that site pissed me off.......newayz....
first of all, they don't even kno if white holes exist, it's just a speculation
second, I agree with the scientists that disagree (lol) u wuld be indefinitely crushed, however IF white holes existed and and there was possibility of not being crushed, I suppose the theory of the wormhole mite be partially correct, however there's no way of proving that we wuld emerge in a new universe/time/place, we wuld most definitely end up in a new place, possibly a new time, but a new universe I don't believe, that seems to sci-fiy for me

It's not coded right, the question marks are a side effect of that. You don't know if something is wrong until it's been proven wrong, and even then the person who proved it could be wrong, it's happened before. Always keep an open mind.

Plus, there are lots of things we have today that were science fiction.  Cell phones were first seen on Star Trek, and now everyone has them.

Proof that the name HISTORY channel is fitting and should not be changed to the future channel, aliens could visit tomorrow or in 3 millenia.
