I used to be a Nintendo fan, like you guys. My mistake back then was getting a Sega 16 bit after my NES instead of the much better SNES, thats why i've had to play most legendary SNES games on my PC.
Then I moved on to PSX, and though jealous at the N64 for some specific titles I'm glad i didn't buy it. (if anything just for the squaresoft titles on the playstation)
Having a PS 2 now, I again don't see much for Nintendo's rival console. The games are all really expensive, even FF Chronicles is still 60 euro here. I wouldn't say it sucks, for one I did enjoy Metroid and Pikmin was a very good and original title, but the majority of the gaming public here will probably not even have noticed the title, because of its happily colored cover and it not showing a beefed up car or scantily clad woman. Its sad, yes.
I don't think the Gamecube is bad persay, Mario Party or Mario Kart with 4 people can be a lot of fun (which it wouldnt be as much if they'd made the online leap already) but of the three current consoles it has the least appeal to me personally.
