Because of the competition its vital to not make it too expensive and discourage buyers from getting the system. as long as people have the system games will be bought...but if the X box 360 is cheaper than the PS 3 than more people might chose for that over the PS 3.

You were probably looking at the PSX which people mistook for the PS3 a while ago. That was like 1,200 USD, but only because it had like a 120 gig HD and a DVD burner in it so you could copy games. It was never released in the US.
Being 13 is no excuse, some of my dumb friends were smoking weed at 12.

O.O i went to google due to curiosity and found out that Blu-ray is a disc...wth! that would mean the price for a ps3 cd would prolly go high! :(

A single-layer Blu-ray Disc can hold 25GB, which can be used to record over 2 hours of HDTV or more than 13 hours of standard-definition TV. There are also dual-layer versions of the discs that can hold 50GB.
a disc that can hold 25gb, that's almost 6 times that of a dvd, that's what I meant. I read somewhere that a blu-ray disc can hold 6 times more as a dvd.
