If I even buy another console...PS3. Why is everyone saying it will be over $1,000? That was the PSX!! Not PS3. PSX was not released in the US. Just like the Gamecube Q, Panasonic's Gamecube that could play DVDs.
Revolution is going to be..bad. Reasons why the average gamer will not buy it and it will not succeed:
1) Nintendo made a horrible reputation for itself with the Gamecube. It's glory days ended right after OOT was release on N64. That was the last good game by Nintendo that wasn't a complete remake of another.
2) The shape is obscure, it will not fit in cabinets and stuff, so people with animals and parents will not be able to have one because it will get stepped on.
3) Nintendo doesn't have any good agreements with any companies signed exclusively. All they have is Sega, and we all saw what Sega's doing (Shadow the Hedgehog). Baaad Idea. Sony has Square, THQ, Rockstar, Polyphony, and Eidos. Xbox has Bungie...And Bungie produces stuff that is a LOT better than Sega. Not only that, Xbox has no true "Mascot" characters, so their games will not all be sequels and cheesey spin-offs such as "Mario: Laundry" or something.
Revolution will be for people that are not serious about gaming and just want to buy one so they are loyal to a conglomerate that only wants their money. How do I know they only want your money? See: Pokemon.
