Yeah theres this American guy- "Fatal1ty" who earns a living just with gaming. He even has hardware carrying his name and big brands in the PC world sponsoring him...but personally I'd rather just play games for fun than to win all the time. The online craze the whole game scene has gone in (just a matter of time for Mario Online) adds so much more competition to games that sometimes, people who do nothing but "train" at a particular game can just ruin the fun. That or make you strive to become better than them...which is where you have to look out to not get the same obsession as them.

since the beginning of games since the atari2600, all the way to the NES when gaming was almost said to be extinct, we as gamers have helped the developers want to make better games by giving them feedback, support and new ideas/features that they could put in there next game. So the reason why we play more games then what we would in the past is simple.. Developers wern't using many idea's from us back then, but now it's all different. Developers jump online to some popular forums and have a look at some comments and suggestions which helps them to fix up some bugs and glitches, adding new content into patches etc. So yeah,, i guess thats why we using gaming for such long periods of time now.. Cause our idea's are becoming a reality. :)
Well the way I see it, it's supposed to be a past-time thing..right? A hobby is possible too...but not a real lifestyle (unless its job related)..because thats unhealty. 2-3 hours a day is not too bad, but theres many that do double that..I probably used to as well...and thats not good for a long period of time, especially when you're supposed to be doing homework.
I don't play every single day but when I do pick a day to play then i'm usually on for;
6-8 hours on a full college day.
8-11hours on a half college day.
13+ hours on a weekend (Usually because I lose track of time).
I usually don't play much in the week and do it all in the weekend.

my boyfriend games too much, it's not healthy, but I do play with him :P before I met him I realy didn't like those war fps games, but now I play them online with him and I realy like it :D

I dont know how you guys find the time to play so much everyday. I only find the time to play every weekend or friday for about 2-5 hours. Meh, Im just not as into games as i used to. Getting old lol but im only in high school =/. I guess a lot of my time goes into browsing the internet and working.
..hmm...pretty normal hours...
if i start playing a game i dont stop till i've finished it...meaning..with most..i don't sleep until i've finished them.

gonna have a fair bit of time on my hands now though...so im gonna get some ps2 games and go for 3 days non-stop...begin my old habit...
