Oh! This one isn't really that much but it was an outrage to me.
I went to the local used gaming store here in Ottawa, Ontario, and I asked if they had any broadband modems for Dreamcast. In my ignorace I didn't realize they didn't make it to North America, and those that were here were rare, but the onwer said "Yes we do." But he told me I had to deliver him a normal modem from my DC (which I told him was WORKING, that's important), plus $30 as he had to put a modem into the Dreamcast that he was going to take the supposed broadband modem from.
I was lending my DC to someone that week so I went thourgh HELL getting just the modem off this guy and then when I went back to the store and talked to the manager he took out a normal DC modem and tried to sell that to me. I looked at the connector and saw that it WASN'T broadband and asked him why he had the gall to charge me $30 to trade in my working modem for his working modem of the same type. His response: "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't understand you I guess. I'm French you know." Granted, the guy has a French Canadian accent but one would think his grasp of the English language would extend to the jargon of video games as he owns and operates a used video game store. Needless to say, I do not shop there anymore.
So if you're ever in Ottawa and want ot buy some used games, stay away from Microplay.
