first open vba option>link>1 comp.
then close,open two vba, joypad conf. on 2nd
vba set to 2 then...pause when inactive blah uncheck
then open up the rom you have to have a flash save or
load a savestate "do not import saves"well i tried,after talk to the lady
nothing happens

ahh I know the reason it's because the two roms was on diff folder

I'm having the same problem...
I got vba 1.71 link and I did everything the tutorials said.
I set it to no pause, link set to one computer (although when I do restart the emulator its set on internet connection thingy), save type 128k etc.
Then when I try and load all I get is linking press B to cancel. Help anyone?

Yes it does work. This entire topic is about Pokemon Emerald English working. Spend some time reading through things before you reply something stupid and you might then earn the dignity to call yourself a human being.

To begin you need the VBAlink 1.7.2 or any version of VBAlink...NOT VBA...There is a difference in the two VBAlink allows the ability to link games while VBA does not.
In VBAlink, before starting any game goto Options>Link
a window should pop up...
If you are going to run it on the same computer than choose One Computer
If you are going to Do a Local Area Network than Choose Lan and make one person start the VBAserver!!
Type the amount of people that will be playing

Than you should type the IP in the SERVER IP ADDRESS of the LINK OPTION in the VBAlink
Click Connect and Wait. Something should popo up and say either it worked or YOU FAILED!
But that is all there is to it, for anygame...Once it connects, run the Game you wish to play multiplayers...
