You might have to tell us how to get to that rom you just posted about because that link doesnt work.
and as for the other thing you said, i dont think this problem is related to anyones computer in particular because it is happening to a lot of different people. a lot of different people are getting the same exact problem and message so after thinking about that, tell me its just to do with the computer and ill tell you how wrong you are.
loads of people's emeralds are working either your settings on your gameboy or computer is wrong, your comps too old or your gba version, your version of poke emer doesn't work or you can't unzip the file i gave or you haven't patched a emerald version!
Well when I click that link you posted to pokemon emerald on the last page (page 2 of this topic) it just takes me to one of those pages that says "one of our files is being leeched by this site and we wont let it happen..............................................................................." with a big picture of some tank in front of a person with 'owned' in the front with big red letters. and there is a link on that page to the site but i cant find a copy of pokemon emerald there anywhere.
I dont have 'flashget'. When i want to download a file from the internet i just download it the normal way through my internet browser and scan it afterwards if i think there is any kind of chance that it has a virus.
Well, there is one option. If you say that the copy of pokemon emerald that you have works and continues after you beat the elite 4 and all that..... then im thinking, if the links you give me to it dont work, you could send your working copy to me by email or something like that. I see that you might also have MSN and you could send it to me that way. Of course im not going to force you to do that. Its up to you.
I think your problem str0004, with downloading that patch from the site is that you might have a firewall on. Which messes up the referal links (causing the site to think your leeching the file), you'll have to turn your firewall off.
I suggest to solve the majority of people's problems that they follow my own walkthrough to fix Pokemon Emerald: (it's probably best to delete your ROM and save file and download it again, especially if you haven't had success with fixing it before)
[hr] Very Important, Follow these steps before extracting/playing Pokemon Emerald:
1. When you extract the ROM from the archive you downloaded, extract both the .gba and the .ips file to the same folder. 2. Check that Automatic IPS Patching is on. (Options-> Emulator-> Automatic IPS Patching) 3. Set your save type to Flash 128k! (Options-> Emulator-> Save type-> Flash 128k) 4. Then before running the game again, delete the 'vba.ini' file. 5. Finally turn on the Real Time Clock! (Options-> Emulator-> Real Time Clock)
This will fix any problems that you have with Pokemon Emerald. If your still having problems. Make sure you check that the patch has the same name as the ROM (not including the extension)
[s]But Enjoi it, this has got to be the best Pokemon in a while :D[/s] Load of crap! This Pokemon is about as much good as Crystal was. It's terriblly boring. But i love the Pokeblock making. Pokeblock! ;D
so basically you got to start again and use patch from very beginning etc. what a shame considering iv spent 23 hours getting to the elite4. im fucked if im doing all that again...

You can try making a save state of your game, then loading that into your VBA after you've done all the steps i've listed. Good luck! :)
Well, i have tried everything from this topic and i still have the same prob; the savefile is corrupt. But i saw that the savegame created after i beated Elite 4, isn't 128 kb as it should but only 64? Yes, i have changed to Flash 128 kb from the menu but why does it keep creating af 64 kb file then?
I'm Ashlee Bi*ch, or Ashlee Simpson... not 'SIMPSON' !!
But yes, you probably have to start over, if your careful enough though it isn't hard to restore your file yourself. Just startover and keep a record of your save state. That's all you need to do.
When you download the ROM it should come with the patch. If it didn't then try downloading it from a different source. You don't need to patch it using IPSwin, just turn on 'Automatic IPS Patching' in your VBA Emulator.
I also have that same prblem when i try to load Emerald on my emulator the problem is i do not have any IPS programme to aid with what you have suggested to do, the rom came with some IPS file and i do not have the programme to use it so i can play the game. Please help me
'You don't need to patch it using IPSwin' or any other patching software. If you have Visual Boy Advance, there is an option you can turn on that will do it for you automatically. Your emulator can patch the game automatically for you without and other programs.
Options -> Emulator -> 'Automatic IPS Patching'
Now i can't make things any simply than that. Just extract both the ROM and the .IPS file to a folder, run the emulator with 'Automatic IPS Patching' on, and the patch should work automatically. If you can't work out how to do that then i'm sorry, i really can't help you anymore.
