That's right! I have discoverd the magical way to make the NES Classic games work on the VBA!!!
step 1: get an IPS patcher.
http://www.gbadat.altervista.org/gbadat/gbata/gbata6a-en.zip to get gbata OR
http://zerosoft.zophar.net/files/IPSWin20.zip to get IPSWin.

step 2: dload ALL the .ips files for the NES Classic games here:
http://www.retrocovers.com/advanscene/html/forumpatch/patches.rar

step3: USE THE APPROPRIATE IPS PATCH WITH THE NES GAME YOU WANNA PLAY! AND ITS DONE!!

HAPPY PLAYING!

I think this should be stickeed.

Or you could just place the ips patch and gba rom in the same folder, rename the ips patch to the name of the gba rom (ie.  if the gba rom is 1234.gba, rename the patch to 1234.ips) and activate automatic ips patching on VBA.

The .ips files are not included in any of the releases of the Classic NES series. The IPS files for those games have only recently been created.
