Me and my friends are argueing over which consol is the best. 

I say that the Gamecube is the best because Nintendo has made some great games such as F-zero GX, Mario Sunshine and Metroid Prime.  You can also buy a device for the Gamecube that allows you to play gba games on your TV. 

One of my friends said that the Playstaion 2 is better because you can buy some excellent games such as GTA Vice City.  The Playstation 2 can also play DVDs and has some great extra devices such as the dancemat, the guns and the eye toy.

One of my other friends said that the Xbox is the best beacuse it can play DVDs and displays graphics a lot better than the other two games.  It also has a great game called Halo 2 which is the most popular game at the moment.

These are my and my freinds view of which consol is the best but I want to find out which consol you think is the best.

this is basically the same as the other thread in this board,"sony vs nintendo vs microsoft"...ps2 is probably best though...it has the best and biggest game library,plenty of capabilities,its not too bad overall

Gamecube well...............almost useless
X-box big as a refrigerater and the controle's are to big. There are nice game's on it though
Playstation 2 nice form and a very good colletion of game's

playstation is the best

The gamecube only has a few good games and is least popular
The playstation is the most popular and has the most games which are some of the best games
The xbox only have halo and halo 2 keeping it standing good.

PS2:perfect size thin,light and looks the best.
Xbox"massive heavy and the controller just looks ugly

So PS2 first
Then Xbox
And last Gamecube

Sony pwns all of those..IMO..

but thats just because it has better games.

Well the PS2 rox but technically the Xbox is by far more advanced...
The GameCube is...well...bad.It has some good games but except those 2 or 3 it's worthless...

So... PS2!!!

lol...To put it...it depends on who you are and how you were raised up as...I was raised up as a nintendo kid so i donot dislike GC, i have all three systems but hardly play them...All three systems offer similar things, such as network play, extension, and some other things that they presently have.  I prefer to have GC becuz i like some of the old games that they made new like Mario RPG and Super Smash Bros.  But i also like the PS2 for MSG and its series...did you guys check out the graphics on MSG:Twin Snakes for GC...damn that was good graphic...and then theirs the Xbox with its high graphic and built in hard drive by Microsoft.

What? You call these things consoles? No.. the Dreamcast was a console, and the last one too.

PS2! since xbox and gamecube are so rare with their roms and very expensive in my country! :D

This is not a bloomin' debate because everyone is saying the ps2 there is no diehard GC or Xbox fan willing to put up a decent debate.

Let me get 1 thing straight, im talking about the consol not the games.

Ps2 - Has a good shape, plays dvds, can go online, has an expansion bay where u can put a hard drive in, has a wide range of controllers iclouding but not limited to dancedance revolution dance mats, light guns, fishing rods, turn tables, one handed controlers, special edition controllers lyk the onimusha masamune controller and the final fantasy x-2 tiny bee guns, taiko drums, mikes, wireless controllers, keyboard controllers, and the ps2 has usb ports in the front so its a real life saver wen playing online games that require typing, its pretty easy to mod, and sum othere stuff that i cant remember,

Game cube - Small, good shape, has 4 ports for controllers and doesnt need an multitap to have more then 2 players, can go online(i think) thats all i can think of

Xbox - Too big, its the size of a small breif case, the controllers are chunkyly big and hard to hold in my opinion, looks lyk a heater that u can buy at sears, can go online, grafics are good, thats all i can remember

Heres what i say.
Nintendo only makes kiddy games, like pokemon, or mario.
Playstation is for teens.
and the best of them all, XBOX, is for men, real men.

u know, id love to say something nica about gamecube but i just cant, i really cant...
ps2 now we're getting somewhere great games, great capabilities (hope i spelled it right) and great controller, and with the new ps2 stream line u can take it around ur mates house that are to unfortunate to own a great console like this...
X-box, this is just as great or better, great games,great online games and easy to use (with microphone for netplay which ps2 dun have) and the controllers ARE big, but theyre also the BEST controlls, u think just because its big its bad.........pfft no way!

id love to say ps2, and 2 - 6 months ago i would of said ps2 is the best, but ive actully woken up to my self and realised X-box IS the best, sorry all u ps2 lovers out there :\

i think that the X-box it the size of a car, the PS2 sucks (coz there are no really gd games out for it) well it doesn't suck totally coz of the built in DVD player and it is quite portable. but i think that the GC it the best mainly because of Resident Evil 4! (yey) but there are other gd games comming out for it that i am looking 4ward to like the new Zelda!  ;D ;D ;D

I don't understand why people call GC games kiddy games.
Gamecube had exclusive games like RE1, Zero and 4 (and yes they're going to PS2 but they came out on GC first), Metal Gear Twin Snakes was another exclusive. Most other games are released on EVERY system unless they're specifically made by Microsoft of Sony.

Kiddy games doesn't make sense. Yes Nintendo does deliver some less gore and kill oriented games, but does that make them kid games?

Xbox got that damn monkey ball series. And PS2 has it's sly cooper and ratchet and clank series'. If those aren't kiddy I don't know what is I guess. Mario Hopping on goombas can't be as bad as a monkey rolling about in a ball to collect banannas.

I dunno. People make unfair assumptions about a system that has continued to deliver great games since they started. Also the people saying that Nintendo only released kiddy games go home and play pokemon on GBA. Screw that.

I only have a PS2 at home out of them but I say X-Box is the best because I like the controller. It all depends on what game you want the console for, each are better for certain games.

It's between X-Box and PS2 though, I don't like GameCube much.

Racing/FPS - X-Box for me
RPG/RTS - PS2 for me.
Any other genre of game is good on both. :)
